Program des­cription:

Physico-chemical and physical methods of the investigation of chemical compounds provide information on the physical properties of molecules and compounds, the reactivities and reaction mechanisms. Magister program is developed to train skilled professionals by providing fundamental knowledge on modern physicochemical and physical methods of the investigation and hands-on experience with modern analytical equipment used in the various fields of chemistry, biology, medicine, petrochemistry, and geology.

• Fundamental basics of physical chemistry
• Scanning probe microscopy and powder x-ray diffractography of chemical compounds and materials
• Fundamentals and applications of spectral methods
• Thermoanalysis of chemical compounds and materials: thermogravimetry, differential scanning calorimetry, combined approaches
• Gas chromatography
• Electrical, electro- and magnetooptical methods of investigation
• Physical chemistry of oils
• Theoretical and computational methods in physical chemistry
• Magnetic resonance, vibrational spectroscopy, x-ray diffraction methods
• Kinetics and thermodynamics of chemical processes in varying conditions
• Technologies of preparation of nanodispersions and composite materials
• Chip-calorimetry: theory and practice
