The opening of the XI International Festival of School Teachers took place at Elabuga Institute of KFU

A unique project of Kazan Federal University was launched in the City Palace of Culture, bringing together speakers and listeners from all over the world

The International Festival of School Teachers is a unique platform for the exchange of experience in the effective organization of school education. For more than 10 years, the forum has been held in Еlabuga Institute of the Kazan Federal University with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan, uniting teachers, scientists, specialists in various aspects of education from around the world.

Rector of Kazan Federal University Ilshat Gafurov addressed the guests of the International Festival with a welcoming speech. “Holding such a significant forum in the format of a festival has become important for the pedagogical community. We are very pleased that the university from year to year initiates a number of large-scale events in the field of teacher education. Today Kazan Federal University is one of the country's leaders in teacher training and the only university in the country that is included in the top 100 best universities in Times Higher Education World University Rankings. “Our positions are improving every year. The infrastructure of teacher education deserves special attention. Over the past decade, we have managed to create a new university model in this area, which is currently in demand, economically sustainable and recognized by both Russian and foreign scientists and practitioners.” - summed up Ilshat Rafkatovich.

The hostess of the festival, the ideological inspirer of the project, director of Elabuga Institute, Elena Merzon, took the stage. “Traditionally, the Festival is considered the only platform in Russia for mastering the advanced pedagogical experience of Russian teachers and foreign colleagues, a platform for introducing the ideas of talented scientists. The work here is based on a dialogue between practicing teachers and specialist scientists, between secondary general education and higher education. And one of the main partners of the Festival is the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan,” Elena Efimovna emphasized.

The opening ceremony of the festival was also attended by the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilsur Khadiullin, Deputy Chairman of the Committee of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan on Education, Culture, Science and National Issues Lyudmila Rybakova, Chairman of the Tatar Republican Committee of the Trade Union of Public Education and Science Workers Yuri Prokhorov, Head of Elabuga Municipal District Rustem Nuriyev, Rector of the Institute for the Development of Education of the Republic of Tatarstan Lyudmila Nugumanova, Rector of Kazan State Institute of Culture Roza Akhmadieva and others.

The atmosphere of the festival was filled with the joy of meeting, the spirit of optimism and the desire to discuss and outline ways to address important issues related to school education in our country and the education of the future, the role of teachers in a changing world. The guests of honor, speaking to the participants, greeted the teachers with special warmth: “Many thanks to the educators, in particular the school teachers, who are making great strides thanks to their creativity and love for children. It is gratifying that the good traditions that began in the Year of the Teacher continue to this day, gathering teachers not only from Russia, but from the whole world. Thank you for the fact that thanks to you we are one of the best in the Unified State Exam in Russia, we occupy the 3rd position in the number of prize-winners and winners of the All-Russian Olympiads,” said Ilsur Khadiullin, Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The key themes of the grand opening were the Year of Science and Technology in Russia and the Year of Native Languages ​​and National Unity in Tatarstan. Today's meeting was especially warm and long-awaited not only for the moderators, but also for teachers and students of pedagogical universities. For the first time in history, listeners from all over the country will be able to join the work of the XI International Festival of School Teachers online. The number of registered participants is 4122 people; more than 300 teachers have arrived from 110 settlements this year. 12 regions of the Russian Federation are represented. In addition to current teachers, future teachers are traditionally present at the festival: more than 40 students from Udmurtia, Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, Saratov, Kirov, Yekaterinburg and Nizhny Tagil will take part in the Summer Pedagogical School.

A pleasant surprise for those present was the performance of the creative team of the Instrumental ensemble of teachers of Kazan State Institute of Culture on folk Tatar instruments.

The participating teachers were also greeted by the Chairman of the Tatar Republican Committee of the Trade Union of Public Education and Science Workers Yuri Prokhorov, the head of the Elabuga Municipal District Rustem Nuriyev, who expressed the importance of holding such events for the entire pedagogical community and wished all the best to the participants.

“Our festival has always been a place where teachers can replenish their methodological treasury, exchange views on the future of school education. But in recent years, we have discovered another important function of the festival - it is the establishment of partnerships between teachers and parents of students. It has been repeatedly noted that there are three parties involved in the educational process: teacher, student and parents. To improve the quality of education, a dialogue between them is necessary, ” said Elena Merzon, director of Elabuga Institute. That is why representatives of parenting committees were invited to the Festival to discuss issues related to the work of the parent-student-teacher system.

At the end of the opening ceremony of the XI International Festival of School Teachers, Elena Efimovna, together with the schoolchildren, presented a musical gift to all those present.

Within the framework of the grand opening, the traditional republican promotional action "Help to get ready for school" was held. 20 future first-graders received briefcases with school supplies from the hands of the guests of honor.

The guests of honor visited the exhibition of suppliers of goods and services in the field of education. Modern developments were presented that can be used to modernize school education: “The concept of step-by-step training in robotics” from Avanti Education, the official partner of WorldSkills in Russia, “Innovative teaching materials and constructors for preschool and school education” from Aelek, history books with life photographs, books from the association "TatarMultfilm", the program of the museums of Kazan Federal University.

Over the next three days, more than 100 sessions from 77 practicing scientists, teachers, leading experts in the field of education and upbringing, as well as a rich cultural and entertainment program will be waiting for the participants. The business program of the forum covers 6 modules: prevention of emotional burnout of a teacher, a lesson in the 21st century, education in the 21st century, national education and upbringing, an integrated approach to organizing medical and pedagogical support of educational processes. Note that the main prize for the winner of the Festival - the most active participant - will traditionally be a voucher to a sanatorium.
