The trip is scheduled for 30th August – 3rd September.
The planned meetings which have taken or will take place are at Ministry of Education and Science of Tajikistan, Russian Embassy, Ministry of Health and Social Policy, local rectors, and representatives of higher education of the city of Khujand.
At a meeting with the Minister of Education and Science Nuriddin Said Said, cooperation between KFU and Tajikistan was discussed. In particular, there was a preliminary discussion about opening a medical lyceum for 9th – 11th grades of high school. The lyceum will prepare pupils for the Russian-style Unified State Exam.
Another conversation was held with Rector of Tajik National University Muhammadyusuf Saidali Imomzoda. A roadmap to expand cooperation tracks was discussed, including Russian language, Arabic studies, biomedicine, and geology.
The planned medical lyceum was also brought up during talks with the Minister of Health Nasim Olimzoda. A building suited for the school was visited. The Tajikistani side pledges renovations, and KFU will supply educational equipment.
At SHIFO Medical Center, both sides mentioned that the KFU University Clinic may help with treatment in Tajikistan. Finally, Kazanites went to see Vezha Pharmaceuticals, a local production facility, and offered KFU’s pharmaceutics expertise to the industrialists.
