Demonstrates experiments with liquid nitrogen R.V. Daminov, 2017
Since the formation of Kazan University in 1804, the history and physical demonstration cabinet, intended at that time for instrumentation, both for research and for students, has been calculated. In the establishment and development of the Cabinet took an active part NI. Lobachevsky, E.K. Zavoisky.

Today, the cabinet (consisting of two qualified engineers and a manager) provides demonstration equipment with lectures on physics, read in two specialized audiences with a capacity of up to 190 listeners each. Here students are engaged both in the Institute of Physics and students in other natural sciences: chemistry, geology, cybernetics, medicine, ecology, etc. Various popular science events are organized on the basis of the demonstration room, additional education for teachers and schoolchildren is held.

The equipment available in the cabinet makes it possible to realize up to 400 experiments on all sections of the physics course: mechanics, molecular physics and thermodynamics, electricity and magnetism, optics. Some installations, for example, to demonstrate the properties of polarized light - 120 years, but they are still in working order. They are also unique in that they presented them to the Kazan Imperial University. Engelhardt, whose name is the astronomical observatory of the KFU.

Along with traditional forms of teaching, modern audiovisual means are widely used. Here, new multimedia teaching aids have been created, patents for inventions have been received, monographs have been published.
Preparation of demonstration experiments requires high qualification and a long time. The development of new training devices for demonstrating experiments in physics (part of them is recognized as inventions), the associate professor of the Department of General Physics Rustam Valievich Daminov considers his scientific hobby.

Often demonstrations are held simultaneously in two lecture rooms adjacent to the demonstration room. Every day the experiments on different sections of the course of general physics are prepared and shown by two engineers of the Department of General Physics: Evgeny Nikolaevich Skvortsov and Ivan Nikolaevich Kochemasov, who once worked in schools as teachers of physics.
The secrets of demonstrating experiments Rustam Valievich revealed in his book "Experiments with electricity and magnetism."
