V.Yu. Belashov has defended his PhD Thesis in 1991; in 1998, he has defended his Doctor of Science Thesis at IZMIRAN. V.Yu. Belashov has Diplomas of the Russian State Attestation Committee: PhD in Radiophysics (1991), Senior Research Scientist in Theoretical Physics and Radiophysics (1994), Associate Professor in Mathematics (1996), Doctor of Science (Habilitation) in Physics and Mathematics (1998).
Presently, V.Yu. Belashov is Professor in the Institute of Physics of the Kazan Federal University. V.Yu. Belashov worked at the Kazan State Power Engineering University (Russia) as Head of the Department of the PowerSupply and Professor, at the North Eastern Interdisciplinary Science Research Institute (NEISRI), Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, as Engineer (1980-1984), Senior Research Scientist (1984-1998) and Principal Research Scientist (1998-2000); at the Northern International University (Russia, 1992-2000) as Professor at the Department of Theoretical and Applied Physics.
In 1992 V.Yu. Belashov gave lectures on the nonlinear wave dynamics in plasma at the University of Electro-Communications (Tokyo, Japan) and the National Institute for Fusion Science (Nagoya, Japan) as Invited Professor. In 1984-2001, V.Yu. Belashov participated in numerous conferences and symposia in Russia, Germany, Bulgaria, Poland, Italy, China, Japan etc. He was Coordinator of radiophysical studies on the International Program “Solar Terminator” (1987-1992), and took part in investigations on International Programs WITS/WAGS (World Ionosphere-Thermosphere Study / Worldwide Atmospheric Gravitywave Study) and STEP(Solar-Terrestrial Energy Program). He is a member of the Working Group “Terrestrial and Space Noises” of the Committee E of URSI (Union Radio-Scientifique Internationale / International Union of Radio Science), the Chairman of the Kazan Seminar “Theory and Computer Simulation of Nonlinear and Nonstationary Processes in Physical Media”.
In 1997-2000, V.Yu. Belashov was Chairman of Magadan Division of the Physical Society of the Russian Federation. He is an author of 275 research publications in Russian and international journals, proceedings of conferences and symposia etc. including 5 monographs and 7 textbooks for university students.
