A famous Swiss scientist, one of the leading specialists in visualization in IT sphere, Prof. Georges Abou Jaoudé, visited KFU. In the framework of his visit Prof. Abou Jaoudé gave a cycle of lectures about visualization and representation.
“Visualization and representation are IT spheres which have been rapidly gaining momentum lately. Cardiograms, tomograms, special effects in cinema and computer games, computer images, computer simulation – all the aforesaid is visualization,” said Prof. Abou Jaoudé.
Reference information. Georges Abou Jaoudé is the director of an information, simulation and visualization laboratory of the Federal Polytechnic School of Lausanne (EPFL) (Switzerland). He is the author of many papers in simulation and visualization in the spheres of medicine, chemistry. The scientist is also carrying out projects dealing with special effect designing for cinema.
Namely this topic intriguing all cinephiles was chosen by him for the concluding lecture in KFU, which will be delivered in the Higher School of ITIS on the 14th of March.
The Professor will tell audience how special effects are created in cinema and computer games. He will also share his work experience, demonstrate some of his projects and presentations, and present his students’ works.
