Official negotiations about joint scientific researches of KFU and Egypt scientific centers

Egyptian culture days have finished 12th of March in Kazan. Kazan Federal University became the center of the most of events.

Over the past three days representatives of the country of pyramids shared the part of Eastern culture with students. Lectures, seminars and joint performances helped all people who are interested in oriental studies, the Arabic language, public speaking.

Mohammed al-Badri, the Ambassador extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Egypt in Russia and Ilshat Gafurov, KFU Rector discussed opportunities of the future cooperation in the business meeting. Above all, Kazan is interested in academic exchanges and joint scientific researches. It's worth mentioning that the basis for this cooperation exists for quite a long time. Center of Ararbic culture of Kazan Federal University has been functioning since 1999.

Twenty students from Kazan visited the language courses in Egypt over the last year. Unfortunately, there are not so many students in the reverse direction. Ilshat Gafurov claimed that the university wanted to switch to the better level of exchange and joint postgraduate programs had to be launched for that reason.

The proposal of the Rector of KFU supposes the research of the PhD student with the involvement of two scientific tutors from Russia and Egypt. Kazan University is ready to partly participate in financial issues. Besides that, there are special government programs in Russia dedicated to talented students and postgraduates. KFU priority areas are the following:

Biomedicine and Pharmaceutics

Oil extraction, Refining and Petrochemistry

Infocommunications and Aerospace Technologies

Advanced Materials

Social and Humanitarian Studies

The main efforts of the University are focused on the development of these priority areas and necessary infrastructure, including 300 laboratories.

"It is important to use all the advantages for the essential leap forward. This mutually beneficial partnership involves the joint work and organization of research space", said Ilshat Gafurov.

Ambassador marked high scientific level of the Kazan University. This is the third visit by Mohammed Al-Badri in Kazan. Every timehe discovers something new for himself.

"I represent not only diplomatic but also scientif society of Egypt. I have seen a wide number of universities of the world and I highly apprecviate the scientific level of Kazan Federal University and I see the potential of KFU. I do believe that Kazan Federal University will be in the list of the famous universities of the world. I totally agree with the words of the Rector of KFU considering the necessity of the increase of the level of academic exchanges of KFU and the University of Cairo", claimed Mohammed Al-Badri.
