The Department of Romance Philology offers the following study programs:
The Department of Romance Philology has a double degree program with the University of Paris III The department also has various projectss with other universities of France and Spain. The department provides education on additional specialization "Tourism and Hospitality" as per the agreement with the Chamber of Commerce of Paris.
The members of the department carry out joint research activities with colleagues from the Spanish universities. In particular, together with the University of Granada they conduct joint work on drawing up the phraseological dictionary. Granada, Cadiz, Huelva, La Coruña invite out students to study for a period of six months to a year.
The department holds annual seminars for the professors of schools of higher and secondary education of Tatarstan. One of the running topics is “Contemporary French language and innovative methods of its teaching” with the participation of professors from France. The contests of French songs, French poetry are very popular among the students of the Department. Annual secondary school contests for young connoiseurs of French language and culture are also held.
“Spanish Week of Language and Culture" is a regular cultural fest open to the wide public. It includes different competitions in the fields of Spanish poetry, filmmaking, photos, food and music.
Twice a year the international exam of Spanish as a Foreign Language (DELE) in cooperation with the Cervantes Institute takes place. Every year more than 20 students take the exam (levels B1, B2, C1, C2).
