Pedagogy Department
History of the Department
The Department was founded in 1939. Serious contributions were made at different periods of its development by T.Kh. Rakhmayeva, N.D. Grigoryev, D.S. Yagofarova, (they were heads of the department), L.V. Khalanskaya, T.B. Sharipova, V.M. Korolyova, A.Z. Mukhamadeyeva. In September 1989 two departments (of pedagogy and psychology) merged forming the Department of Pedagogy.
The Department supervises two PhD courses:
13.00.01 General Pedagogy and History of Education
13.00.08 Theory and Methodology of Professional Training.
More than 50 PhD students successfully defended their theses during the years of the Department's work.
Research areas
The staff members' work on the research in the development of the personal professional potential of a specialist.
The current research is aimed at a scientific support of the educational process and at working out various models of teachers' professional training.
All the staff members take active part in scientific conferences organized by Elabuga Institute and travel frequently to Moscow, Ufa, Kazan, Penza, etc.
The Department holds traditional annual conferences:
- Pertinent Problems of Contemporary Education (April).
- Science and Youth (October).
The teaching staff supervises students' research work. Our students successfully partake in national competitions.
