The Chair of Theory and Methodology of Preschool and Primary Education is a structural subdivision Yelabuga Institute of Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University.

The main activities of the chair:

• Modernization of the educational process based on the use of achievements of pedagogical science, introduction of modern methods and forms of advanced training of teachers of preschool and primary general education;

• Research: pedagogical support of innovative processes in the regional system of preschool and primary education in the conditions of modernization of education

• Methodological: providing methodological support for pedagogical and managerial personnel of preschool and primary education within the framework of a set of measures to modernize the education system according to the priority directions of the national educational strategy "Our New School"

• Educational: development and implementation of professional development programs, retraining of employees of the preschool and primary education system in order to increase the level of professional competence of teachers in the region

• Informational: assistance in the introduction of information and communication technologies, taking into account the achievements in the field of computer equipment and the development of the Internet in order to form a unified ICT rich educational environment of the region

The chair implements the following educational programs:

• on the basis of secondary (full) general education:

44.03.05 - "Pedagogical education", profile "Preschool education and English", "Preschool education and primary education", duration of study - 5 years (bachelor's degree, full-time);

• on the basis of secondary vocational education (according to the accelerated training program):

44.03.01 - "Pedagogical education", profile "Preschool education", Primary education", duration of study - 4 years (bachelor's degree, correspondence form);

• on the basis of higher education:

44.04.01 - "Pedagogical education", profile: "Management of preschool education", duration of study - 2 years 6 months (master's degree, correspondence form)
