The most important component affecting the quality of training of is research activity. Research work at the Elabuga Institute of KFU is carried out through departments, faculties, scientific laboratories, interdisciplinary research groups.

The Institute has formed scientific directions corresponding to the mission of the KFU structural unit and the profiles of training specialists.

The research activity of the Faculty of the University is closely integrated with the educational process through the use of the results of scientific research in it through the preparation and publication of textbooks, scientific and methodological developments, monographs, which are widely used by students and postgraduates in educational and scientific work. The priority results obtained as a result of the research work formed the basis for a number of new special courses.
