The Centre's activities are aimed at the following tasks:
In education:
-developing and teaching special training courses on domestic and foreign policy, economics and the social and humanitarian sphere of Central Asia and its individual states (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan), as well as Turkey;
-preparation and publication of educational and educational literature on topics of Central Asia and Turkey;
-organization of internships for students specializing in the subject of the Centre;
- reading lectures on different subjects of the Centre.
In research activities:
-conducting theoretical and applied studies of political and socio-humanitarian problems in Central Asia and Turkey, the policy of individual subjects, integration processes, as well as the policies of Russia and other leading world powers in this region;
-activation and coordination of research, scientific and educational, information activities in the field of research in Central Asia and Turkey;
-conducting scientific conferences on the research topics of the Centre;
-provision of connection of scientific research in the field of political and economic problems of Central Asia and Turkey, culture and religion of their peoples at various historical stages with academic work at the departments of the Institute.
Activities.
The main scientific activity of the Centre is the research of Central Asia and Turkey in the field of international relations, history, oriental studies, regional studies in the interests of solving the problems of education, science, economics, administration and security in the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Russian Federation.
Another area of activity is interaction with Russian and international scientific (research-and-production) organizations and educational institutions such as the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Asian and African Affairs of Moscow State University, MSIIR (U), the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the Eurasian National University. L.N. Gumilev (Astana, Kazakhstan), Kirghiz-Russian Slavic University. B.N. Yeltsin (Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan), University of World Economy and Diplomacy (Tashkent, Uzbekistan), Russian-Tajik Slavic University (Dushambe, Tajikistan), Turkmen State University named after Makhtumkuli (Ashgabat, Turkmenistan), Marmara University (Istanbul, Turkey).
The Centre ensures the development of the scientific and personnel potential of KFU, the improvement of the quality of educational and scientific processes in KFU, the pooling of intellectual and material resources in the implementation of scientific research, the creation and large-scale application of innovative development methods and innovative education technologies.
