8 International Conference on Interactive Collaborative Robotics (ICR) took place from October 25 to 29, 2023 in Baku, Azerbaijan. The aim of the conference is to consolidate knowledge in the field of collaborative interaction between humans and robots in industry, medicine, education and other spheres based on the achievements of fundamental science and best practices of technology companies.
Members of the Laboratory of Intelligent Robotics Systems (LIRS) of the Institute of Information Technologies and Intelligent Systems (ITIS) of Kazan Federal University (KFU) made presentations online. Maksim Mustafin, a first-year master's student, spoke at the plenary session with the report "Experimental Validation of an Interface for a Human-Robot Interaction Within a Collaborative Task" (Authors: Maksim Mustafin, Senior Researcher Elvira Chebotareva, Professor of Shanghai University Zhao Tong Hongbing Li and Professor of the Intelligent Robotics Department and Head of LIRS Evgeni Magid). Artem Apurin, a graduate student and junior researcher of LIRS, presented the report "Comparison of ROS Local Planners for a Holonomic Robot in Gazebo Simulator" (Authors: Artem Apurin, junior researcher Bulat Abbyasov, Professor of the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juarez Edgar Martinez-Garcia and Evgeni Magid) at Section 3. Both papers were prepared under the guidance of Evgeni Magid, Head of the Intelligent Robotics Department of the Institute of ITIS.
