Short description of important scientific result: For the first time, cationic liposomes modified with new carbamate gemini surfactants were obtained, and their composition was optimized for multitargeted delivery of tocopherol (an antioxidant) and donepezil hydrochloride (an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor) into the brain of transgenic mice with a model of Alzheimer's disease. In vivo tests showed that intranasal administration of liposomal drugs for 21 days leads to an improvement in cognitive functions of transgenic animals and to decrease in the level of amyloid beta plaques in the hippocampus and entorhinal cortex.
