Research interests of E.K.Sadykov include the theoretical aspects of resonance phenomena in solids. Long time ago he has been involved in studies, theoretical and experimental, related to Moessbauer effect, especially to the problems of external control of resonance interaction of gamma radiation with nuclei. His recent activity in field of Moessbauer optics is devoted to the increase of information potential of experiments with thick samples (in the regime of of their excitation by external fields) and to study of the functional applicability of new processes in these  conditions.
