Short description of important scientific result: The scientific direction of ?Regional regulation and reduction of anthropogenic and technogenic pressure on aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems to protect biological systems? was developed. The research conducted to quantify the load and impact of organized sources on the surface waters of the Kuibyshev reservoir and its main tributaries; generally, on the small rivers in various physical and geographical areas of the Republic of Tatarstan. The regional standardization of the phosphorus load and nitrogen-containing mineral fertilizers in the composition of unorganized wastewater from the catchment area to reduce efficiency and prevent processes of eutrophication of river waters as well as regional standards for the quality of surface water and bottom sediments of the Kuibyshev reservoir were all determined.
