The Centre was established in 2005.

Its activity is mainly directed at support and promotion of German language and culture in the Republic of Tatarstan.  The German Centre sees its mission in contributing to strengthening intercommunication between Russia and Germany, developing cooperation between our countries, to the process of interfacing between educational, scientific and cultural institutions of Germany and Tatarstan.

The activity of the German Center includes three major directions: education, science and culture. Here you can find a wide range of educational programs on German for everyone. International scientific and educational projects also take big part in the centre.  One of the main tasks of the centre is popularization of creative works of German cultural workers by means of meetings, literary soirees, concerts.
