Research paper of LIRS employees is presented at the V International Scientific and Practical Conference ITS Forum - Kazan-2018
On February 27 - 28, Kazan is hosting the V International Scientific and Practical Conference ITS Forum - Kazan-2018 "Modern Problems of Life Safety: Intelligent Transport Systems and Situational Centers".
Among the honorary guests-speakers were the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Aleksey Pesoshin, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Minister of Informatization and Communications of the Republic of Tatarstan Roman Shaikhutdinov, Head of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Tatarstan Lenar Gabdurakhmanov, Director of the State Budgetary Institution "Road safety" Rifkat Minnikhanov, Director of the Scientific Center for Life Safety Roza Akhmadieva and CEO of ERTICO Intelligent Transport Systems of EuropeJacob Bangsgaard.
At the section "Intelligent control systems and security of mobile objects" Junior Researcher of the Laboratory of Intelligent Robotic Systems (LIRS) of the ITIS Higher Institute of Kazan Federal University Roman Lavrenov made a research paper presentation on "Controlling a mobile robot in teleoperation mode: creating a new ROS package for simultaneous video stream transmission from multiple cameras”. The presented studies of the LIRS team are the next step in the development of a new user-friendly interface for controlling the Servosila Engineer tracked robot, designed not only for performing dangerous tasks in search and rescue operations, but also for monitoring hard-to-reach areas of urban infrastructure and housing and communal services. The conference also discussed scientific and applied developments in the field of intelligent transport systems related to improving road safety, improving situational centers and road infrastructure, analyzing and protecting data using information technologies.
