Patrick Yvon Maurice MASSON
Academician Mason (now General of the French Army, retired) is one of the largest (unique), the world's experts in the field of protection against poisoning cholinesterase inhibitors. Kazan chemical school has extensive experience directed synthesis of cholinesterase inhibitors, the study of their toxic properties and physiological mechanisms that underlie poisoning representatives of this class of biologically active substances. Engaging academic Masson to cooperate in the creation of a new laboratory CFI will open in Kazan new area of research aimed at developing therapies poisoning cholinesterase inhibitors.

The project is planned to study the processes mediated by changes in the level of intracellular calcium ions. The main emphasis will be placed on research on the communication system of the motor motor-neurone-glia to find mechanisms that can form the basis for new ways of pharmacological correction of disorders of synaptic transmission.
