Department of financial accounting

The Department was established in 2002.

The teaching staff of the department combines educational activities with practical work in accounting and economic departments of companies, audit and consulting firms. Many professors are certified professional accountants and auditors. Employees of the Department take part in training of professional accountants, auditors and tax consultants, participate in a university training program for professionals in the joint French-Russian MBA.

Leading professionals, including the employees of the Big Four accounting firms, are often invited to partake in the educational process.

Several of our educators had prolonged periods of foreign education and can thus contribute ther overseas experience.

The strategy of the department is to:

- strengthen international cooperation in training and research activities;

- bring potential employers to participate in workshops and seminars;

- introduce the latest technology and teaching methods (interactive lectures, computer games business, newest case studies;

- improve the methodological support of the educational process.
