Cooperation with Syria

KFU has signed cooperation agreements with the following universities of Syrian Republic:

- Agreement on Academic Cooperation with the University of Al-Baath, Homs, signed in October 2009, for 5 years. Within the frameworks of the agreement, scientific cooperation is developing in the field of geology. Contact person responsible for the implementation of the agreement is prof. Irina Plotnikova, Head of the Department of Oil and Gas Geology;

- Agreement of Cooperation with the Arab University of Science and Technology signed in June 2011 for 5 years. Scientific cooperation is also carried out in the field of geology, the coordinator of the agreement is prof. Vladimir Morozov, Head of the Department of mineralogy and lithology.

Besides, cooperation with Syria is implemented as part of training the citizens of Syria in the University of Kazan. In 2011/2012 academic year, one bachelor student and one post graduate student are studying in KFU from Syria on a contract basis.
