Topics of research activity

• Chemically modified electrodes based on nanosized particles of metals, their oxides and organic complexes implemented in polymeric matrices;
• Immunosensors for the determination of biologically active low-molecular compounds;
• Enzyme sensors for the detection of pesticides and biogenic phenols;
• electrochemical techniques for the individual and group determination of antioxidants;
• DNA sensors for the determination of specific interaction with participation of native DNA, aptamers and DNA probes; detection of the DNA damaging factors;
• New modified electrodes based on electropolymerized materials;
• Organophosphate extractants and complexing agents for sorptional accumulation and transmembrane transfer of metal ions.

The Analytical Chemistry Department maintains fruitful contacts with scientific centers both in the country and abroad: Moscow State University, Kazan national technological university, University Comenius (Slovakia), University Tor Vergata (Italy). The PhD students and young researchers are involved in various academic exchange programs and joint programs financed in the framework of Russian Foundation for Basic research, bilateral governmental programs and European Union scientific programs.
