Chair of Russian Language and Literature
Head of the chair - Ibragimova Elmira Rashitovna, Candidate of Philological sciences, Associate professor
Senior lab assistant - Giniatullina Aigul Gazinurovna.
The modern chair of the Russian language and literature was created in 2016 as a result of the unification of the chairs of the Russian language and contrasting linguistics and Russian and foreign literature.
The training of teachers of Russian literature at the Elabuga Institute has deep traditions, the historical roots of which go back to 1905, when pedagogical classes for the training of teachers of Russian literature and history were formed within the walls of the women's diocesan school.
Thus, we can talk about more than a century-old tradition of training teachers-philologists in the Lower Kama region. This process was continued in the subsequent stages of the development of the educational institution. So, in the teacher's institute opened in 1939, which was later reorganized into a state pedagogical institute, a single philological chair began to function, uniting specialists in Russian, Tatar and foreign philology.
The actual department of the Russian language was organized in 1953, three years later literary scholars left its composition and created a new chair of Russian and foreign literature. The first heads of the chairs were L.I. Chagina and K.R. Reshidov, who already had scientific degrees.
Heads of departments associate professors N.A. Verderevskaya, N.I. Shaidullina, N.N. Anikina made a great contribution to the development of philological education in our university. At different times, such talented literary scholars as O.I. Fedotov, M.YA. Levyant, M.I. Bent, A.P. Auer, B.A. Mints, E.P. Baryshnikov, N.D.Tamararchenko, V.M. Golovko, F.I. Urmancheev, T.N. Galiullin worked at the Department of Russian and Foreign Literature. Many of them continued their research and teaching work in the largest universities in Russia and Abroad, in research institutes of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan.
In the last decade of the last century, with the advent of doctors of sciences, professors (N.M. Valeev, D.A. Salimova, A.I. Razzhivin, who headed the chairs for more than two decades), scientific schools began to form. In the 2000s, graduate school was opened in two specialties: 10.02.01 - The Russian language, 10.01.01 - Russian literature. Both graduate programs are effective, more than twenty candidates of philological sciences have been prepared.
Under the guidance of Professor D. A. Salimova, Doctor of Philology, several areas are being developed in language science: these are "Russian Language in Intercultural Space", "Regional Linguistics", "Psycholinguistic Foundations for Regulating the Speech Behavior of Bilinguas", "Artistic Text as a Translator of Languages and Cultures", and "Proper Name in Modern Paradigms of the Scientific and Cultural Space".
Doctor of Philology Professor N.M. Valeev and his students raised a large layer of merchant literature, previously unexplored and forgotten for almost a century. Not only merchant topics in Russian literature were studied, but also philanthropic and charitable activities of Russian merchants, the works of writer D.I. Satakheev were reprinted, scientific monographs were published. The theme "Forgotten and little studied Russian writers" was the scientific interest of the department for two decades. The work of D.I. Satakheev, G.P. Kamenev, V.A. Dyachenko, A.A. Shishkov, forgotten critics A.L. Volynsky, V.P. Burenin and others was studied. Released (2009) inter-university collection of scientific works "Forgotten and little-studied writers as a phenomenon of Russian culture".
Within the framework of the Thematic Plan of the Federal Agency for Education of the Russian Federation in 2007-2011, fundamental research was carried out under the guidance of professors D.A. Salimova ("Study of the functional characteristics of parts of speech and categories of lexico-grammatical classes of words in text space," "Anthroponymic space in the system of artistic text") and A.I. Razzhivin ("The genre studies of the literary process at the turn of the 18th-19th centuries: sentimentalism, pre-romanticism).
Since 2015, a group of teachers has been implementing a three-year grant from the RHSF (Russian Humanitarian Scientific Fund) (project No. 15-04-00011) "The language and culture of Russian Germans in migration: problems of self-presentation and self-identification."
The department has a research laboratory with distributed (including international) participation "INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES IN THE FIELD OF MULTICULTURAL EDUCATION" (employees of E.L. Kudryavtsev, Yu.Yu. Danilova, L.B. Bubekova). Over three years, the Laboratory specialists have done a significant amount of work. Of the results, we will call only some: "Comprehensive diagnostic tests for German-Russian bilinguists from 3 to 14 years old: practical recommendations for testing bilingual children and adolescents" have been developed; innovative tools introduced in a number of countries (Russia, Germany, Spain, Greece) were developed in the laboratory: "Fairytales stock is a polyfunctional educational resource for the development of the basics of Russian ethnicity, "RoadMapBilingual" - electronic diagnostic questionnaire for parents and teachers, interactive "Calendar-portfolio of preschoolers" with maps of children's development from 1 year to 6-7 years, The Playtec "Children of the World" - 8 polyfunctional modular games for various age categories and target groups - together represent a comprehensive tool for psychological and pedagogical support of bilingua from the initial diagnosis of the development of bilinguism to the formation of interculturalism and integration into the multicultural space.
The scientific brands of the Elabuga philological school became the regular International Tsvetaeva's Readings, International Stakheev's Readings, All-Russian (with international participation) Elabuga Philological Readings, attracting scientists and specialists from a number of European countries, Japan, and the USA.
Teachers of the department are actively introducing research results into the educational process through the publication of textbooks and the development of electronic educational resources. The university textbook "History of Russian Literature of the 18th Century" (Razzhivin A.I., Pashkurov A.N.), a manual on the special course "Russian Psalter Poetry of the 18th Century" (Razzhivin A.I., Goryacheva O.N.), textbook "Comparative phonetics of Tatar and Russian languages" (Salimova D.A., Salimov H.H.), "Comprehensive diagnostic tests for German-Russian bilinguists" (Kudryavtseva E.L., Danilova Yu.Y., Salimova D.A., Bubekova L.B.), educational and methodological manual "Morphemics and word formation" (Mironova S.V., Salimova D.A.), workshop "Modern Russian literary language: lexicology" (Danilova Yu.Y.), etc.were published.
In 2016, graduate school was accredited in the field 45.06.01 Linguistics and Literary Criticism, and the master's program "Russian Language and Literature in Intercultural Communication" was licensed. Thus, the department now carries out three-level training of specialists (undergraduate, master's degree, graduate school) capable of implementing state educational standards and conducting scientific research on the basis of existing methods in a specific field of philological knowledge.
Since 2014, the Center for Testing Foreign Citizens in the Russian Language has been operating. Certified testers are prof. Salimova D.A. and ass. prof. Ibragimova E.R., trained at Moscow State University. A RuStart project aimed at the study of the Russian language by foreign citizens is being implemented. Members of the department participate in social projects aimed at mastering the Russian language and culture by various groups of young students: Interregional Universiade of schoolchildren, Children's University, Summer Philological School, Children's summer camp "IntelSummer."
