On February 2, within the framework of the final conference of the Higher Institute of ITIS KFU, the section “Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Robotics, Information Technologies in Education” was held. The section was headed by Evgeni Magid, head of the Department of Intelligent Robotics.
At the event, students of the Laboratory of Intelligent Robotic Systems and staff made presentations on current research projects. Junior Researcher Roman Lavrenov presented the results of work on the design of optimal integration of an additional laser rangefinder for solving problems of simultaneous localization and mapping. Leysan Sabirova presented the results of the work carried out by the LIRS team in the field of medical robotics. Ksenia Shabalina made a presentation on a virtual experimental bench for automatic comparison of fiducial markers in the Gazebo environment. Ramil Safin presented the results of the implementation of a robotic operating system (ROS) package for simultaneous video streaming from multiple different cameras.
