The 2nd IEEE Eurasia Conference on IOT, Communication and Engineering (IEEE ECICE 2020) is held online from October 23 to 25, 2020 due to the pandemic situation in the world. The conference provides a unified communication platform for researchers with IOT and Advanced Manufacturing topics. The booming economic development in Asia, particularly the leading manufacturing industries from auto-mobile, machinery, computer, communication, consumer product, flat panel display to semiconductor and micro/nano areas have attracted intense attention among universities, research institutions and many industrial corporations. This conference aims to provide a broad international forum for world researchers, engineers, and professionals working in the areas of IOT and manufacturing to discuss and exchange various scientific, technical and management aspects across the wide spectrum of the society. The theme of the conference is set as smart manufacturing, focusing on new and emerging technologies.
A 3rd-year bachelor degree student of the Laboratory of intelligent robotic systems (LIRS) («Software engineering» profile) of the Institute of Information Technologies and Intelligent Systems (ITIS) of KFU Kirill Kononov presented a paper at the conference. The topic of his report:
«Virtual experiments on a mobile robot localization with an external smart RGB-D camera using ROS». Authors: Kirill Kononov, Roman Lavrenov, Tatyana Tsoy, Edgar A. Martinez-Garcia, Evgeni Magid.
Kirill shared us his impression:
«This was my first participation in a scientific conference as a speaker. IEEE ECICE 2020 gave lot of positive emotions. The organizers summit the event at the highest level. There were many speakers with interesting research. I thank LIRS for the opportunity to participate at this conference and gain very important experience!».
