This article reviews Chulpan Zaripova-Cetin’s monograph, which systematizes cultural values of the Turkic peoples (Tatars, Bashkirs and Kazakhs). The object of the study, conducted by the Turkish scientist, is the works of Tatar writer Galimdzhan Ibragimov. In her research Ch. Zaripova-Cetin makes an attempt to comprehend the contribution of the Tatar people and G. Ibragimov in particular to the development of culture and historical identity of the Turkic peoples. This book is a worthy gift for the anniversary of the great Tatar writer. Rich illustrative material allows its readers to get an idea of the Turkic peoples’ way of life, their tangible and intangible cultural values.
