Member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation; Member of the Advisory Board on criminal law, criminal procedure, criminal and administrative law Executive Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Building of the Federation Council of the RF; Chairman of the Commission for Pardons in the Republic of Tatarstan; Member of the Board of the Ministry of Justice of the RT. Scientific advisor of Law Faculty of KFU. Honorary honorary lawyer of Russian Federation, was awarded a medal “Lawyer of a year” in 2018.

Damir Kh. Valeev (Kazan Federal University, Russia) 

Doctor of legal sciences in the sphere of civil procedure, dissertation name “System of procedural guarantees of persons' and organizations' rights in enforcement proceedings”. Deputy dean for research activities of the Law faculty of KFU. Professor of department of environmental, labor law and civil procedure of the Law faculty of KFU. Member of Academic council of KFU. Member of Examination Committee under Supreme Court of RT. Member of interdepartmental working group at Ministry of Justice of RF on creation Enforcement code of RF bill, member of scientific-consultation council under Supreme Court of RT, expert of the committee on legal and judicial issues of Federation Council of Federal Assembly of RF. Author of more than 200 works. Under his leadership defended 10 Candidates of science.

Sima Avramović (University of Belgrade, Serbia)  

S.J.D., Professor of Law at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law is regarded as one of the foremost Serbian authorities on comparative law, legal history, Roman law, and rhetoric. Since 2012 until 2018 he serves as the Dean of the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law.

Susan W. Brenner (University of Dayton School of Law, USA)

She is the Samuel A. McCray Chair in Law at the University of Dayton School of Law. She specializes in two distinct areas of law: grand jury practice and cyberconflict, i.e., cybercrime, cyberterrorism and cyberwarfare. In 1996, Professor Brenner and then Assistant U.S. Attorney Gregory Lockhart published Federal Grand Jury: A Guide to Law and Practice, which was a treatise addressing the various aspects of grand jury practice in the federal system. The book went into a second edition in 2007. Professor Brenner is also the author of a law review article dealing with state grand jury practice and the chapter, “The Grand Jury Speaks,” that will appear in Grand Jury 2.0. Grand Jury 2.0, which is edited by Professor Roger Fairfax of the George Washington University School of Law.

William Elliott Butler (The Pennsylvania State University, USA)  

He is a jurist and educator, the John Edward Fowler Distinguished Professor of Law, Dickinson School of Law, Pennsylvania State University (2005-) and Professorial Research Associate, School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London (2006-), and Emeritus Professor of Comparative Law in the University of London (2005-). He is a pre-eminent authority on the legal systems of Russia, other members of the Commonwealth of Independent States, and Mongolia. He is also extensively involved in the fields of public and private international law.

Michele Caianiello (University of Bologna, Italy)

From 2000, he is PhD in Criminal Procedure, with a thesis on the International Criminal Tribunals. He won the competition for  a place as a lecturer at the Faculty of Law, University of Bologna, in March 2006. He won the public competition for a place as Associate Professor in 2005, and was hired as associate. Professor at the University of Bologna, Faculty of Law, in October 2007. He is a lawyer since 1998, and practiced until 2006, in the field of Criminal Law. In 2015 he was admitted to the list of Assistants to Counsel of the International Criminal Court. From January 2016, he is full professor at the University of Bologna, Department of Legal Studies.

Peter C.H. Chan (City University of Hong Kong, China)

He is an Assistant Professor at the City University of Hong Kong Law School.  He has published extensively in comparative civil procedure.  His main research areas are comparative civil procedure and the Chinese court system.  He is a member of the International Association of Procedural Law, an Invited Fellow of the Maastricht European Private Law Institute and a member of the Research School Ius Commune.  Peter was a Research Guest  at the Max Planck Institute Luxembourg for International, European and Regulatory Procedural Law.

Tomasz Giaro (University of Warsaw, Poland)

Professor of Roman Law at the University of Warsaw and Dean of the Faculty of Law and Administration; former researcher at the Max Planck Institute for European History of Law. In year 2006-2008, Tomasz Giaro was a visiting professor at the Law and Administration Faculty of the Silesian University in Katowice. During the winter semester of 2010-2011, he lectured at the Law Faculty of the Florida University in USA. He supervised 3 doctorate students. Author of 155 publications in Polish, English, German, French, Italian and Russian languages. Member of the Committee on Antique Cultures' Sciences at the Polish Academy of Sciences, “Polish Law & Economics Conference” Scientific Committee. He is also a member of the Programme Council for magazines: “UKSW Legal Journals” ("Zeszyty Prawnicze UKSW”) and “Legal Forum” ("Forum Prawnicze”) as well as the Russian magazine "Civilisticheskije issledovanja”.

Haluk Kabaalioğlu (Marmara University, Turkey) 

Professor Dr. Haluk Kabaalioğlu graduated from Marina High School in California and then completed the Faculty of Law at Istanbul University in 1970. In 1973, he worked as a Master of Laws (LL.M.) at the Columbia University School of Law in New York. He is a member of the Board of Directors of CERIS, the Center for International Relations and Strategic Studies in Brussels, where he has taught for four years.

Gong Pixiang (Nanjing Normal University, China)

He is a jurist in China. He was the President of Nanjing Normal University and is the President of the High People's Court of Jiangsu Province.

William E. Pomeranz (Kennan Institute, USA) 

The Deputy Director of the Wilson Center's Kennan Institute, is an expert guide to the complexities of political and economic developments in Russia, particularly through the lens of law. As the head of Kennan's rule of law program, he leverages extensive, hands-on experience in international and Russian jurisprudence and expertise in issues ranging from the development of Russia's Constitution to human rights law to foreign investment and sanctions.

Ezra Rosser (American University Washington College of Law, USA)

M.Phil., University of Cambridge 2004, J.D., Harvard Law School 2003, B.A., Yale University 2000. Ezra is a co-author of a textbook Poverty Law, Policy, and Practice (Aspen 2014) (with Juliet Brodie, Clare Pastore & Jeff Selbin) and was a co-editor of The Poverty Law Canon (Michigan Press 2014) (with Marie Failinger) and Tribes, Land, and the Environment (Ashgate 2012) (with Sarah Krakoff). He is currently working on a sole authored book, Exploiting the Fifth World: Navajo Land and Economic Development (Chicago Press TBD).

George Rutherglen (University of Virginia, USA)

J.D. University of California at Berkeley School of Law 1974 A.B. University of California at Berkeley 1971. Rutherglen has chaired the advisory committee on Fourth Circuit Rules and served as director of the Graduate Program for Judges at the Law School. He has written widely on employment discrimination, civil rights and admiralty.

Franz Jürgen Säcker (Free University of Berlin, Germany)

Honorary Professor of Civil Law and Competition Law at the Free University of Berlin and Head of the Institute for German and European Economic, Competition and Regulatory Law and Managing Director of the Institute of Energy and Regulatory Law in Berlin. Säcker is a well-known expert in the field of competition law.

Paul Schoukens (KU Leuven, Belgium)

He is a professor of the Social Security Law (comparative, international and European law) in KU Leuven. He is the chairman of the labor and social security department. He is a member of the sectoral social insurance committee of Kruispuntbank and is the general secretary of the European Social Security Institute since 2013, an international and interdisciplinary network of social security experts.

Jean-Marc Thouvenin (Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense University, France)

He is Professor of International Law at Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense University, Director of the Center for International Law (CEDIN), and the International Law College. He is also a lawyer and has argued in a number of cases before the International Court of Justice. Lawyer in SYGNA Partners Company.

Aslan Abashidze (Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, Russia)  

Doctor of legal sciences, head of department of international law of RUDN, professor of department of international law of MGIMO University. Honorary lawyer of Russian Federation, vice-president of UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural rights, president of commission of international law of Unıted Nations Assocıation of Russia, member of expert council at Ombudsman of Russian Federation. In 1997 defended a doctoral thesis on the theme “Protection of minorities in international and internal law”. A.H. Abashidze has written more than 550 scientific works. More than 15 articles are published in Scopus.

Lilia Bakulina (Kazan Federal University, Russia)

Igor Bartsits (The Russian Presidental Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, Russia)

Vladimir Gureev (Russian State University of Justice, Russia)

Doctor of legal sciences. In 2012 received a grade of a docent at the department of organization of service of court enforcement officers and enforcement procedure. In 2013 at the dissertation council at the Russian legal academy of Ministry of Justice of Russian Federation defended a doctoral thesis on the theme “Administrative activity of Federal service of court enforcement officers in the sphere of enforcement procedure”. Pavel Krasheninnikov (State Duma of the Russian Federation, Russia)

Member of Council at the President of Russian Federation on development of justice, Scientific-consultative Council at Supreme Court of RF. Was chosen as a member of executive committee of International scientific-consultative council of UN on crime prevention and criminal justice and a member of executive board of International society for criminology. 

Evgeniy Vavilin (Saratov State Academy of Law, Russia)
