Irnis Rakhimullin was born in workers family in Kazan on the third of February in 1942. He studied in Kazan music college from 1958 to 1962, sooner he studied in Kazan conservatoire. From 1972 to 1985 he taught in choral conducting department in Kazan conservatoire. He's been working as a leader of a chorus in The Jhalil opera and ballet theatre since 1975. He started work by his specialization when he was eighteen; he began to direct an amateur chorus in 1960. He's been at the head of Kazan university tatar national chorus since 1967. in 1995 he start conducting one more chorus in Tatas State institute of humanities.

Irnis Rakhimullin is the one who devoted 42 years of his life to the art of chorus. He is well-known as a musician - enlightener. Hundreds of talented girls and boys of Kazan university and Tatar State institute of humanities passed through Irnis Rakhimullin's school. This is the school of deep love to folk songs, of comprehending songs by tatar composers, the school where musical nature of students is opened and wings are put onto them. Those who sing in Irnis Rakhimullin chorus remember their studies years as the brightest and most joyful time. Those years are dear and nice like youth to them.

It seems that making several dozens tatars stand together and sing as a chorus is one of the most difficult things in the world. The reason is that every tatar wants to be different from others and sing solo. Another reason is that there was no chorus tradition among the tatars.

But in 1967 a student of Kazan State Conservatoire Irnis Rakhimullin came to Kazan university and organized a chorus among such students from country as me. He reached his aim. Chorus singing in four voices appeared and became popular very soon. I remember those years with thankfulness. I think Mr Rakhimullin is thankful to us as well because some songs in our repertoire were a degree work of the last year student Irnis Rakhimullin. We took part in his State exam. Committee estimated our songs with the highest mark. I reckon myself among good singers since that time:

Mr Rakhimullin is fully devoted to his profession. The tatar national chorus which he founded in Kazan University has been singing for 35 years. In addition to that he conducts the chorus in Tatar State institute of humanities and in Kazan tatar gymnasiums. His main place of work is The Jhalil opera and ballet theatre. He is an Honored art worker.

There are many choirmasters nowadays, but real professionals are not enough. Our national music needs them very much. That's why they are very necessary and dear. High level professional Irnis Rakhimullin who's found his place in tatar music world and serves for our nation without any tiredness is one of the dearest people for us.

The tatar national chorus of Kazan University which he's been conducted for 35 years is well - known.

He's reached high professional results as a leader of a chorus in the Jhalil state opera and ballet theatre as well. The chorus of tatar opera theatre is one of the best opera choruses in Russia.

Irnis Rakhimullin has taught in the department of choral conducting in Kazan state conservatoire for fifteen years.
