ON SPECIFIC FEATURES OF NATIONAL FIGURATIVE THINKING IN FINE ARTS

This article presents the author's conception of national specificity in fine and applied arts. To identify specific features of the art of Tatarstan the authors consider aesthetic ideas from European Christian and Muslim fine arts. The paper defends the idea that national art is not limited in its originality of themes and storylines, but creates its own distinct language and artistic morphology. Through comparative analysis of the creative works of Tatar artists H.Yakupov and I.Zaripov1, the article reveals inner stylistic commonalities as evidence of shared culture, confirming the formation of underlying principles of the artistic image in national art.
