The article focuses on the aesthetic standpoint of interference in free translations written by the Tatar national poet G.Tukay (1886-1913). The paper identifies the artistic features of the poet's ways of translation of Western European classics. The analysis proves that the transcriptions given by G.Tukay on the basis of the Russian translation of poems by Shakespeare, Byron, Schiller, Goethe and Heine, attach the reader to the best achievements of the world civilization and enrich the national poetry of the twentieth century with new opportunities of developing human spiritual world in its complex links with the social environment.
