The research deals with the comparative analysis of verbal behavior conventions, reflected in Karachai- Balkar and Tatar paroemias. The norms of verbal behaviour in the paroemias of Karachai- Balkar and Tatar cultures prove a complex structure. Parallel speech acts, reflected in paroemiological units, determine in many respects speech decorum and communicative behavior of the two kindred nations. The authors define common features of the units under study. The comparative analysis also reveals variety of similarities and differences, governed by national peculiarities of mentality, language and culture. Upon the analysis, we concluded the defining value of verbal behaviour, through the models of which it is possible to reconstruct a fragment of the ethnic worldview and consciousness. Paroemiological fund is a storage of mankind cultural heritage, which accumulates and maintains people’s knowledge in its various manifestations. The paroemia semantic analysis enables the conclusion that the proverbial systems of the cultures under study equally perform all types of verbal behaviour. The perspective of the research outlook is in the study of other nations’ proverbs, which represent standards of verbal behaviour as well as comparison of the latter to Karachai-Balkar and Tatar paroemias.
