Global Cooperation

The very foundation of Kazan University was directly linked to international academia. Today the University continues enlarging its international dimensions and enhancing its globally renowned academic reputation.

KFU has partner agreements with 408 universities and research centres from more than 70 countries all over the world. Within this fruitful cooperation, KFU participates in various research programmes and implements double degree initiatives and cotutelle agreements.

In 2019-2020 academic year,  9858 international students follow different academic programmes at KFU.

Annually, about 1500 foreign specialists visit KFU for participation in various scientific events, development and introduction of new courses, research work and other international activity

Here, academic teams carry out many joint international projects; students and faculty get individual support for research from DAAD, DFG, Volkswagen Foundation, NSF, European Commission (including Erasmus+, Erasmus Mundus, Marie-Curie Actions) and other grant making organizations.
