The Spanish language is one of the most widespread languages on our planet; it is spoken by the inhabitants of several continents. Now it takes the fourth place in the world, but according to the forecasts of linguists in the near future, the Spanish language will catch up with English in their influence and can claim to play the role of the language of international communication. Already today to study the the Spanish language is not only interesting, but also is necessary! 

In our city, the sunny and mysterious Spain is represented respectably by the Spanish Center of Education and Culture under the Department of International contacts of KFU. It was founded in December, 1997 at the initiative of the university of Granada with which KFU has been on friendly terms and has been cooperating for long.

The programmes offered by the Spanish Center within the supplementary educational programmes, organised by the Institute of Continuous Education of the Kazan university, are aimed at studying the Spanish language and introduction into the history, traditions and culture of Spanish-speaking people.
