The 11th International Conference on Developments in e-Systems Engineering (DeSE2018) of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is held from the 2nd to the 5th September in Cambridge (Great Britain) . IEEE is the world leader in the development of standards for electrical engineering and hardware for computing systems and networks. The purpose of the conference is to organize and conduct an important international forum dedicated to discussing and presenting information on developments in the field of electronic systems, including all relevant research and practical achievements. The conference is a platform for disseminating and discussing new research and ideas in this field.
Kazan Federal University (KFU) is one of the educational partners of this conference. At the conference KFU was presented by a Head of the Intelligent Robotics Department of Higher Institute of Information Technology and Intelligent Systems (ITIS) professor Evgeni Magid and Jamilya Mustafina, assistant professor of of the Institute of Naberezhnye Chelny. The reports of the Institute of Naberezhnye Chelny were prepared with KFU postgraduate students and professors and graduate students of Liverpool University. Listeners lively discussed presentations devoted to the analysis of large data in education, benefits and challenges in the field of educational forecasting.
Jamilya Mustafina commented on the participation in the conference: "Participation in DeSE2018 for ITIS and the Institute of Naberezhnye Chelny has already become a tradition. The logical continuation of this cooperation was the decision to bring DeSE2019 to KFU in Kazan. I think this cooperation will make a tangible contribution to the recognition of the KFU brand and to the promotion of the academic reputation of our University. "
Evgeni Magid also commented on the participation in the conference: "The increased interest of listeners was caused by our report on the Master's program in robotics. As the participants' questions showed the content of our program surpasses the programs of other universities. I believe that, first of all, this success is connected with the young staff of our program, which constantly improves and updates the courses, develops new disciplines and methods of teaching, quickly adapts to the needs of the industry and the interests of students and actively conducts scientific research and accustoms students to a foreign way of thinking, where the quality and discipline of research are at the forefront. "
At the conference Evgeni Magid was awarded with honorary certificate of the IEEE for outstanding contribution to the development of the research community. This award is respected among the scientific circle.
Jamilya Mustafina and Evgeni Magid presented KFU as the next organizer of the DeSE 2019. During the conference they were establishing scientific and educational contacts and identifying scientific areas with foreign partners.
