Russian Institute of Radionavigation and Time interested in combining efforts with Kazan Federal University

Representatives of one the key GLONASS project participants met with Vice-Rector Danis Nurgaliev on 18th July.

Dr. Nurgaliev presented the University and spoke about its infrastructure and staff. Executive Director of RIRT Aleksey Bragin did the same for his side and mentioned that the Institute currently seeks to advance cooperation with universities.

Another RIRT employee from the delegation, Vladimir Perekrestov, said that the company really needs young talents, and KFU can be of great help in this matter. He also gave a letter of appreciation from the Federal Road Agency to the Vice-Rector. The award was to thank the University for partaking in driverless car tests in Krasnodar Krai in May 2018.

In his interview to KFU Media Center after the meeting, Mr. Bragin noted, “We work with Russian regions and help young employees relocate to Saint-Petersburg. We are ready to welcome those who sometimes have problems with finding jobs in their native regions. As for Kazan University, we have much demand for specialists which you educate here.”

He added that KFU and RIRT have a long history of cooperation since Soviet times, and the Institute is eager to restore large-scale cooperation, including that for a new system of unified time measurements.
