The opening session took place in the Lobachevsky Library on November 28th.
The session was attended by Vice-Rector Danis Nurgaliev, Director General of the Russian National Public Library for Science and Technology Yakov Shrayberg, Executive Director of the National Electronic Information Consortium Aleksandr Kuznetsov, and Executive Director of Nonprofit Partnership “Associated Regional Library Consortia” Aleksandr Plemnek.
Over 100 experts from different countries have gathered to partake in the conference. Among the topics are future of libraries, library services, resources for education, scientometric activities, library-user interfaces, and other issues.
The conference includes three paper sessions and a workshop for Kazani librarians. A seminar and a master class on academic writing will be held by Cambridge University Press.
