On May 25-26 the Centre for Cultural Studies of post-Socialism hosted an international research workshop titled 'Rethinking the (post)Soviet: Cultural Semiotics of Borders in Russia and Europe’.  Its international guests, representing different disciplines in social sciences, discussed borders from multiple perspectives as toolkits for semantic demarcation and change of meanings, and mechanisms of social, cultural, and political inclusion and exclusion.

Organizers consider publication strategies based on papers presented at the workshop.
