At present an efficient oil displacing agent must be selected for the oil field which can be used in the reservoir with high mineralization. The ionic, non-ionic and amphoteric surfactants are selected to measure the interfacial tension and phase behavior with wetting and non-wetting fluids. Ultra-Low interfacial tension is an important parameter for all surfactants to apply in chemical enhance oil recovery (CEOR). Water is surfactant solvent media will mix with oil that has the salinity and hardness and can affect the performance of surfactant. The salt itself have ineffective surface tension due to reaction with petroleum it produced the least IFT numbers. Different concentration of surfactants tested with a range of temperature 25 ?C. The type of reservoir contains the active mineralization up to 199.4 g/l. The surfactant is synthesized in laboratory and applied, in this study Improved efficiency of IFT reduction using a salt and surfactant mixture has been verified by measuring the IFT between oil and water with different concentrations with 0.1, 0.15 and 0.3 respectively. |
