After secondary treatment, some residual oil remains due to the hydrophilic nature of the pores and low leaching efficiency. In this case, enhanced oil recovery methods are used to improve the oil recovery of residual oil in rock pores. A series of experiments were conducted to characterize and quantify the effect of aging time at high temperature (90 ?C) and salinity of model water (13.5 g/L). A surfactant formulation was developed that shows promising results for such complex reservoirs. Ultra-low interfacial tension (ULIT) and good aqueous stability were achieved using a new carboxy group EO2-FANA and stabilizer Laprol 4202 in low concentration brine at high reservoir temperature of 90 ?C. The surfactants were tested with different concentrations of 0.3 % 0.2 % and 0.15 % respectively, but the surfactant stable and more active at 0.15 % concentration with ultra-low MFN was selected. |
