The article is devoted to the study of the linguodidactic potential of proverbs and sayings in the English learning process. The work examines the role of proverbs and sayings in the development of lexical, grammatical, phonetic and speech skills, as well as their importance for the formation of intercultural competence of students. Definitions of these paremiological units given by Russian and foreign linguists are provided. Methods for integrating proverbs and sayings into the educational process are presented. Examples of tasks demonstrate the multifaceted didactic potential of paremiological units. The article is of interest to teachers of foreign languages, methodologists and researchers in the field of linguodidactics. |
