    Annotation An analytical solution to the problem of the convective-diffusive transport of suspended matter from dredging in a river system is presented within the framework of the model of a point source in the flux. Calculations of the distribution of suspended matter concentration and silt height at the river bottom for various coefficients of turbulent diffusion are carried out. A good agreement of the distributions of suspended matter concentration with the results of numerical solution and experimental data is shown.
