Annotation Object of study – bituminous sandstones of the Sheshmian horizon of the Ufimian stage of the Nizhne-Karmalskoye f ield on the western slope of the South Tatar Arch in the Sheshma river basin. Significance and purpose of the work. During the development of bitumen fields, thermal methods are used to reduce the viscosity of hydrocarbons. This leads to unpredictable circulation in productive sandy layers due to complex dis tribution of permeable and impermeable zones for bitumen migration paths. Therefore, an important task is to clarify the causes and characteristics of internal heterogeneity in bitumen reservoirs, which requires detailed lithological, petrophysical and geophysical studies of productive strata. To date, there is no universal set of well logging methods for the exploration of bitumen deposits. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to use integral analysis of well logging data for more detailed dissection of bitumen-bearing rocks. Methodology. The results of borehole geophysical surveys were processed using multivariate mathematical statistical methods in STATISTICA 10 software with the preparation of integral diagrams for complex interpretation and ob taining new geological knowledge about bitumen-bearing rocks. T he results of the work and their application. The application of multivariate mathematical-statistical methods to the processing of geophysical data from boreholes with integral parameters allowed a detailed analysis of the lithological section. Comparison with the results of laboratory studies of bitumen saturation for the Nizhne-Karmalskoye field showed the possibility of clear identification of bituminous intervals in the upper sandy pack of the Sheshmian hori zon, using the integral “fluid” factor. The thicknesses of bitumen-saturated (more than 5%) intervals in the studied f ield are 5–12 m, which allows to recommend the application of the method of steam-assisted gravity drainage for bitumen production in the Nizhne-Karmalskoye field. Conclusions. An integral approach to processing well logging information allows to identify relationships between physical parameters, lithotypes with different filtration-capacitive properties and bitumen saturation. Methods of multivariate mathematical statistics in processing borehole geophysical data allow more detailed dissection of the bituminous rock section and more precise drawing of stratigraphic boundaries.
