Vvedenie v molekulu pillar[5]arena ferrocenovykh grupp pozvolyaet poluchit soedineniya, chuvstvitelnye k nekotorym belkam, svyazannykh s opukholevymi zabolevaniyami; primerom mozhet sluzhit glutation (GSH), chya koncentraciya v opukholevykh kletkakh vyshe, chem v zdorovykh.
