The paper attempts to find an answer to the fundamental question: to be or not to be the ?Russian world?? To adequately answer this question, according to the author, it is necessary to understand what the Russian world as a cultural-civilizational formation used to be and what it is now? What is the situation in which Russia finds itself in terms of fundamental trends in the development of modern civilization? What can and must the bearer of subjectivity as a representative of a special Russian civilization sacrifice, while preserving its essential identity, in order to successfully fit into the changing world? The author focuses on the study of the anthropological basis (essence and due) of socially transformative subjectivity (essence and due), capable of adequately addressing the challenge facing our country.
