Annotation The study showed that biosurfactants produced by microorganisms can significantly improve oil recovery in sand columns. Both strains (2a and 2b) efficiently produce biosurfactants, as evidenced by a significant decrease in surface tension in the logarithmic phase. Strain 2a shows a lower surface tension value, which may indicate higher efficiency of its biosurfactants. Both strains show stable growth dynamics and biosurfactant production, which makes them promising for application in MEOR. Biosurfactants represent an environmentally friendly and cost-effective alternative to traditional EOR methods, which makes them promising for application in the oil industry.
