    Annotation Derivatives of diaryl sulfone constitute an important class of chemicals with a wide range of applications in the polymer industries. a method for obtaining 4,4'-dichlorodiphenyl sulfone (DCDPS) is proposed through sulfonation of chlorobenzene with sulfur trioxide in the presence of a moisture-adsorbing agent, phosphorus pentoxide.
