Writing is the most difficult skill to learn and teach in the classroom, it is a thinking process that involves brain processes to organize ideas for writing, and students need to imagine and express their thoughts creatively. Teaching writing requires different approaches that involve strategies. Teachers should determine the approach to be taken in one particular class for several reasons. Determining the right approach in the classroom is critical to achieving an effective outcome. Choosing the wrong approach will simply make lessons more difficult for students and leave teachers frustrated after so much effort has been put into planning and teaching. In other words, it may discourage both teachers and students. Furthermore, adapting an appropriate approach in the classroom is important depending on the goal set by the teacher. |
