In the work the propulsion of flapping wings with different cross-sectional shapes are carried out. Simulation of the oscillatory motion of a wing in a fluid is performed numerically, the calculation scheme is implemented on the basis of Open-FOAM free software package. The results of the study show that for the same oscillation parameters the hydrodynamics of flapping wings with slightly different cross-sectional shapes can be fundamentally different. |
