This article highlights the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in revolutionizing reading instruction. AI helps improve key reading skills, including the ability to quickly identify specific details in text and understand complex content at a deeper level. AI's effectiveness extends to a variety of basic reading strategies, such as recognizing text structure, paraphrasing, summarizing main ideas, and scanning for specific details. AI-enabled tools such as chatbots and educational platforms provide dynamic, personalized learning that supports students on their reading journey—students receive immediate feedback and develop vital comprehension skills. The role of AI in question generation is an important aspect of this technology-based learning methodology. Artificial intelligence algorithms help create a variety of comprehension questions, ensuring fast and comprehensive reading. By integrating advanced artificial intelligence tools, online learning platforms can offer effective, engaging, and personalized reading instruction. Essentially, AI has the potential to have a profound impact on the future of reading comprehension, promising to fundamentally change the learning process. |
