Annotation

The state of development of the women's question in the Tatar social thought of the last third of the XIX – early XX centuries is considered. Based on the comparison of the opinions of public figures: R. Fakhreddin, Z. Kadyri, Z. Kamali, M. Bigiyev, the article analyzes the situation of women and the attitude of society towards them. The factors of influence on the status of women are presented: Islamic morality, role relations in the family, the level of education, social activity.
